Levels of Impaction
-
Clean Eardrum & Canal
The eardrum is typically 2.5cm deep within the ear canal and plays a major role in hearing as well as acting as a protective barrier for the inner ear. Earwax impaction can lead to loss of hearing, discomfort, ear aches and even dizziness.
-
Light Impaction
This example of light ear wax impaction is safe for extraction with the OXORA EarScope™. Attach one of the ear wax tools provided and start removing ear wax contents safely.
-
Moderate Impaction
In cases of moderate impaction and low visibility it is important to proceed with caution when extracting with the OXORA EarScope™ to avoid any potential harm to the eardrum structure.
-
Heavy Impaction
In cases of heavy ear wax impaction or any other abnormal ear presentations it is recommended that users seek immediate medical attention and avoid inflicting further potential harm in the ear canal.
